February 2011 – 2 x sets of Football gear sent to Magaliesburg School (South Africa).Is the first time kids from that school participates in Soccer.game on

2011 – January   South African Business in Ireland was launched at the City West Hotel.

2010 – November – Patrick and friends welcomes the Springboks at Dublin Airport.


2010 – November – Patrick invited to speak at the Sari (Sports against Racism) forum. 260 students watched the movie INVICTUS and he spoke about life in South Africa during apartheid and after 1994 democratic elections.

 2010 – September – 2 sets of football kits and 20 school bags sent to Sierra Leone school, given to Habib Tamu.

2010 – July -4 sets of football gear and 48 schoolbags donated by the FAI sent to Ugandan schools. The Ugandan council to Dublin praised ASSA for the help.

  2010 – June – The official opening of the FIFA 2010 World Cup event was held at Melody Bar. It was historic and the Media was present to cover the excitement and the passion South Africans. All Africans gathered to support. Melody Bar was the venue for the entire tournament up to the finals.

2010 –June – An interview with Voice of the Cape Radio Shafiq Morton about ASSA (African Schools Sports Aid).

2010 – March / June – Patrick  launched the 2010 World Cup awareness campaign photo shoot.African models were wearing t-shirts bearing 6 African countries national symbols/flags participating in the event.

 2010 – March – Patrick is invited to a panel of judges at the VEC Nelson Mandela Cup for public speaking. He was also asked to present the winners with trophies.

2009 – May – Bohemians football Club endorses ASSA Donate a jersey campaign at Daly mount Park. Bohemians are the FAI Premiership league leaders.

 2009–August – Jerry Adams (Sinn Fein President) endorsed the Collect a Jersey project in his West Belfast office. He was very proud to endorse the project. His office is colorful with a big ANC poster at reception and Comrade Mandela’s photos all over his office. He encouraged me to continue with the initiative

2009 – August  Patrick and friends raises awareness of the Bafana-Bafana vs Ireland match, A photo shoot at the Woolshed a popular pub frequented by South African and Australians.

 2009 – September – Bafana Bafana arrival in Ireland, Patrick organized South Africans to welcome the S.A Squad at Dublin Airport and arranged with the Football Association of Ireland to issue complimentary  Tickets for the match, They went a step further and arranged free Bus to Limerick for S.A supporters to Limerick. Unfortunately we lost the match. IT’S FOOTBALL

2009 – November 27 – Patrick greeting the Springbok Players on O’Connell Street Dublin, Ireland and got a complimentary ticket for the match, unfortunately we lost against Ireland.

2009 – December  – Assa hosted a Tournament in Northern Cape, North West and Kwazulu  Natal Province,54 schools in Total benefited including 4 schools in Kwazulu Natal. Patrick also donated 35 T-shirts to kids in a Hillbrow flats.

 2008 – August – Patrick interviewed by the African Voice about his new project ASSA(African Schools Sports Aid) and his intention to run in the 2009 Local Elections in Dublin constituency.An interview with the African Voice in 2008

2008- July – Patrick launching ASSA in Northern Cape (Pampierstad) South Africa. The tournament benefited 8 schools; Trophy was awarded to the winning teams.

2008 –Patrick  launches ASSA  collect a Jersey: In partnership with Hate Racism Love Football (Northern Ireland) ASSA Launched this initiative to encourage individuals, clubs and schools to donate jerseys in Belfast.

2008 – April – Patrick   organized a presentation delivered by   (Mr. Edward Griffiths- South African Local organizing Committee member) to address the Media, sports bodies and interested parties at the Teachers Club in Ireland about South Africa hosting the EVENT. He also made it very clear that Plan B option is not existing and briefed all present about progress on infrastructure and readiness of the stadia. A press conference was shown live on TV 3, Newspapers, The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, the Star and the Evening Herald covered the presentation.Mr Griffiths praised Patrick for organizing an event of national importance.2008 – WORLD CUP PRESENTATION IN DUBLIN

2008   March – Patrick launched a Plan A to Z (South Africa) after negative comments about Crime and doubts about South Africa hosting the World Cup in the Irish Media.

 

 2007 – RUGBY WORLD CUP-Patrick organized a venue (Wanderes Football Club) for the Quarter, Semi’s and Finals where all South Africans enjoyed themselves. Children of Soweto performed at the finals and a live D.J.South Africa was crowned the World Champions

 2005 – World Tours Exhibition at the RDS (Dublin, Ireland)(Patrick Maphoso) was asked by organisers (TRUE NORTH) to man the South African Stall as the S.A Tourism Board member did not make it from London from Friday to Sunday.
